BELLE MAGAZINE: DARLEY HOUSE

Claire Delmar

This turn-of-the-century terrace house was updated with an abundance of curves and a soft feminine persona by interior designers Arent & Pyke. Studio CD complimented each space by mirroring these curves with a mixture of rounded, organic shaped pieces in a delicate colour palette, creating a very glamorous, serene home.

The terrace follows a traditional layout with formal living and dining at the front leading off the hallway. The dining area has a vintage table and sideboard from the owner’s collection and the formal living room opens to the central courtyard.

Clever manipulation of the tight kitchen space allowed the designers to push the sink area outwards, visually opening it up to the garden. The kitchen has a glamorous look with brass drawer fronts, and benchtops and splashback in Arabescato Vagli marble.
