Inspired by the natural colour palette in the bush surrounding this expansive beachside home, we sought to imbue every space with an elegant sense of calm, selecting pieces that both complement and amplify the clean lines and natural materials of the interiors.

Tucked between Warriewood and Narrabeen on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, tiny Turimetta Beach is one of those spots that only locals know about. To make the most of the glorious site, the owners engaged a building company to design and construct a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home set across three levels with acres of glass that provided unimpeded ocean views. They then turned to Suzanne Gorman of Studio Gorman to create the elevated coastal feel they were after for the interior. “We wanted it to feel homely, welcoming and connected to its surrounds. It had to be environmentally conscious too,” says owner Sarah.
“It’s surrounded by bush and from the inside, it almost feels like you can touch the water, so we opted for a tonal palette and raw, organic materials such as timber and stone to reflect the outlook."
